"I Begin to Know You"
USA 1992, 16mm, 2:50 min, col, b&w
Through poetic devices, I Begin to Know You weaves together ready-made images of women at work and in the domestic arena as an examination of women's power and place in the world. I am interested in the ways meaning can be re-contextualized by tapping into a tradition of appropriation that takes possession of the global culture's image bank.
